Origin
Most famous for being the major ingredient of Bordeaux’s greatest red wines,
Cabernet Sauvignon represents up to three quarters of the plants in the Grands
Crus properties. Cabernet Sauvignon is the result of a coupling between Cabernet
Franc and Sauvignon Blanc, from which it inherited its name.
This grape variety is typical for producing wines with deep colour and high tannins.
Our
Cabernet Sauvignon has been produced in the Entre-deux-Mers appellation on
clay and limestone soils, which gives its developed nose and its silky and supple
palate.
Cabernet Sauvignon, traditional red grape variety from Bordeaux, remains the
world’s fourth most planted.
Tasting Comments
The nose is intense with blackcurrant, redcurrant and blackberries notes. The
attack is rich evolving on present but supple tannins.
Vinification
Our Cabernet Sauvignon was vinified at 30°C with a moderate extraction in
order to reveal the fruit and the scents of this grape variety. The early bottling
preserves all the freshness of this wine which will be best enjoyed when young.
